XENOM: The Decathlon of Fitness Is Changing Competitive Fitness - RBST GEAR CO.

The world of competitive fitness is evolving fast, and a new name is stepping into the spotlight: XENOM.

Built around the idea of creating a true global benchmark for fitness athletes, XENOM is introducing something the CrossFit world has never fully had before a standardized, repeatable competition system that allows athletes to measure themselves year after year against the exact same test.

Unlike traditional CrossFit competitions where workouts constantly change and unpredictability is part of the game, XENOM takes a different approach. The company calls itself “The Decathlon of Fitness™,” combining strength, endurance, gymnastics, conditioning, and skill into a fixed 10-event format spread across two days.

What Makes XENOM Different?

XENOM’s biggest innovation is standardization.

For years, CrossFit athletes have trained without a universal scoring system that could consistently compare performances across competitions and seasons. XENOM aims to solve that problem by introducing a points-based Elite Performance Index inspired by traditional decathlon scoring systems.

This means athletes can:

  • Track progress over time
  • Compare scores globally
  • Benchmark fitness against a repeatable standard
  • Compete in the same format worldwide

The concept bridges the gap between functional fitness, professional sports, and data-driven athletic performance.

According to the company, the goal is to create the “first repeatable global benchmark for CrossFit athletes.”

Stadium-Scale Competitive Fitness

XENOM is not positioning itself as a small local competition series.

The company launched with significant momentum, including a reported $15 million seed investment led by WndrCo, the investment firm associated with Jeffrey Katzenberg and Sujay Jaswa.

Its debut event is scheduled to take place at the Dallas Cowboys’ training facility, Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The company plans to expand into a global series with future events expected in:

  • Dallas
  • London
  • Miami
  • Paris

Season 001 is expected to include 11 competitions across the United States and Europe.

XENOM and CrossFit

One of the most interesting aspects of XENOM is its official relationship with CrossFit.

XENOM operates as a licensed CrossFit Partner Event Series and has already partnered with Rogue Fitness as its foundational equipment supplier.

This gives the competition immediate credibility within the functional fitness community while also allowing it to establish its own identity separate from the CrossFit Games season.

The format appears designed for both elite athletes and everyday competitors, offering divisions for:

  • Elite athletes
  • RX athletes
  • Compete/Scaled athletes
  • Individual competitors
  • Same-sex pairs teams

Each event is expected to host up to 2,000 athletes.

Why XENOM Could Matter

The fitness industry has exploded in recent years with brands like HYROX bringing standardized competition formats to mainstream audiences.

XENOM appears to be attempting something similar for the CrossFit and functional fitness community — but with a heavier focus on total athletic performance across multiple disciplines.

By creating a fixed format, athletes can train specifically for measurable improvement instead of constantly adapting to unknown workouts. That could make the sport more spectator-friendly, easier to follow, and more appealing to sponsors and media.

For gym owners, coaches, and athletes, it also introduces a new way to evaluate fitness progression beyond traditional competition rankings.

The Future of Functional Fitness?

Whether XENOM becomes the next major global fitness league remains to be seen, but the company is entering the market with:

  • Major financial backing
  • High-profile partnerships
  • Stadium-level venues
  • A scalable competition structure
  • Strong interest from the CrossFit community

Its core mission is simple: create a universal fitness benchmark that athletes around the world can train for and compare themselves against.

As competitive fitness continues to evolve, XENOM may become one of the most important experiments in the future of the sport.
